Circe's Vision Explained The Future of The DCU Looks Dark Taken back to Belle Reve, Amanda Waller interrogates Circe to get to the bottom of why she was invading Pokolistan and wanted to kill Princess Illana in the first place. The Amazonian responds that "even the devil doesn"t want to see the world die", confirming that she was trying to save everyone"s lives after receiving a dark vision of the future. To that end, Circe shares this dark vision with Waller who"s so shaken afterward that she has an Amazon expert brought in to confirm the sorceress" clairvoyance before sending Task Fore M back to kill Ilana to save the world.
In the vision, Waller sees a future where Illana musters a major army of knights to attack the United States. She"s also seen allying with Gorilla Grodd, presumably to strike at the minds of her enemies thanks to his powerful psionic abilities. Shown dropping bombs on cities and taking over the White House, the vision ends with Illana laughing over a mountain of skulls with various superheroes on stakes.
The fallen heroes include David Corenswet"s Superman, John Cena"s Peacemaker, Isabela Merced"s Hawkgirl, and Milly Alcock"s Supergirl. Likewise, there are even heroes who"ve yet to be cast in the new DCU such as Batman, Wonder Woman, Starfire, Robin, Martian Manhunter, and many more. As such, it"s no wonder Waller immediately sends the Commandos back to Pokolistan once she confirms the validity of Circe"s vision of the future.
Weasel's True Origins Explained (The Suicide Squad Lied To Us) Even more tragic than the DCUs" dark potential future is the past of Weasel aka John Monroe. Motivated by the arrival of his lawyer, flashbacks reveal DC"s Weasel had no malicious intentions when he came across 8 children who gave him snacks and played with him. However, an old man nearby saw Weasel and the kids entering a school. Misreading the situation as the kids being in danger, the armed man calls the police before entering the school to "save" the kids. The kids themselves accidentally start a fire while playing with Weasel, which only grows to consume the entire building after the man opens fire, causing a full-on explosion.
